Inventory is down........... Yep, still down... 2016 is sure to go in the record books as the year of NOT ENOUGH HOMES for SALE!!!

The numbers are in for September 2016 and there continue to be no surprises! The market continues to trend the same way it has all year! Low inventory is driving up prices! Low rates are keeping people buying!

Housing Stats:

  • Closed Sales were up 5.7%
  • The Number of homes for sale was down 16.1%
  • Months supply of homes remained low at 2.8 months
  • Prices were up 3.6%
  • Median sales price rose to $230,000

The Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors has released the December 2015 statistics. The link below is predicting a 'balanced market' in 2016. I'm not sure how... Maybe the predicted interest rate increases will slow things down a bit, but with inventory levels this low. It will take a lot of houses to balance this market.

Closed Sales up 12.1%

Pending Sales up 12.3%

Number of Homes for Sale down 21.8% leaving...

Fall is here and the real estate market continues to move quickly! 

Both Closed Sales and Pending Sales rose in August 2015! (7.8% and 12.1% respectively).

Prices rose moderately at 2.7%

Seller's received 97.1% of list price~ This is also up from the August 2014!

Prices rising and seller's receiving closer to list price for their homes may be due to there being less homes on the market. The number of homes for sale fell 13...
