AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Does that picture creep you out??? Does that picture make you wonder what goes on in your home when you are sleeping??? Does that picture make you say EWWW! Gross! Ahhhhhhh!!!!!

It's that time of year... I had several clients call me lately about these not so cute critters! My daughter and I actually found 2 babies in our garage on the 4th of July. They didn't even have their eyes open yet. We scooped them up and put them in the woods behind our house. I didn't have it in me to kill them... I should have been stronger... I should have not put them behind our house! I have since seen one looking in the patio door from the deck (as if to say, I'm out here now, but will be joining you in a little while as it's getting colder out here)! I have also heard them in the dryer vents at night... One of my clients is doing a kitchen remodel and when she took down a wall, she found evidence that there were mice in her walls too... Another was power washing her siding and found a hole, she put a hose down it and turned the water on to find a plethora of mice come out!!! Another client also reported mice in their house. The point of my story is, it's that time of year again where those nasty little critters are looking for somewhere to go this fall/winter! 

Well, it's not going to be my house! I pay the mortgage! I pay the bills! And when it comes to mice, I don't share very well!!!

So what can you do? How can you prevent it? How can you get them out? How can you keep them out? 

Bob Villa has a great article that discusses all of that! Some of his ideas include:

     ~Steel wool~     ~fill holes with steel wool and caulk~     ~traps (both live and the kind that kills them)~     ~poison~     ~spray a peppermint mixture around the perimeter of your house~     ~sprinkle used cat litter around the perimeter of your house~
