How do you live?

 Do you live in the past, always wishing that you would have responded differently?       Do you live in the past, always wishing you could go back to the good ole days?       

 Do you live in the future, always worried about what may come?                             Do you live in the future, always excited about the 'next' thing that you are going to be doing? 

 Do you spend so much time focused on what has already happened or what will happen that you miss your today? That you miss your now? That you are missing your moments?

 Do you take your child to the park and then spend the time on your phone while they play?

 Do you attend a meeting at work and spend your mental energy worrying about a disagreement the night before? 

 Do you live your life admiring someone else's "FB life"... Please understand that what we see on FB isn't real life. It's snips of the good parts of their lives. It's an omission of the bumpy parts. 

Take a second and re-read the quotes above... 

If you feel anxiety or depression, you are not in the present. You are either anxiously projecting the future or depressed and stuck in the past. The only thing you have any control over is the present moment; simple breathing exercises can make us calm and present instantly. ~ Tobe Hanson

In a previous blog I wrote about being aware of your thoughts... So, let's do this again, set your time for every hour or two... when your alarm sounds, access your state... are you enjoying your moment? are you worrying about that has past or that is has not happened yet? Whatever, the case, use this reminder to focus your mind on the present, the now.

Build the life that you want in your mind! Once you have a clear picture of that life, take the steps every day to build the reality that you want. Your reality starts with you! You have the power!

Annnnd yeeeeees, I've been asked... "you're a Realtor, why are you writing a blog titled 'Motivational Monday'?" To answer the question... Over the years, I've run into many different people, all with very different personalities. I've found that people that have an optimistic and positive outlook on life are happier people. I want to do my part to empower others to be positive. I  want to do my part to empower others to believe in the power of affirmations. I want to do my part to help people believe in themselves again. I want to do my part to make the world a happier place... even if it's just for one person, I will have made a difference.
