Motivational Monday! Creating Lists!!!

Motivational Monday!

Creating Lists!!!

 Motivational Monday Make a List

A few weeks ago I asked people what gets them motivated. I received the responses below: Each week I have been discussing the different topics. Last week I discussed the benefits of sharing your goals with someone. This week, I am going to talk about creating lists to stay motivated.

     1) Working in an Organized Space - Done

     2) Sharing Goals with Someone Else - Done

     3) Creating Lists - This weeks Topic :)

     4) Keeping a Positive Mindset - Next weeks topic :)

     5) Debrief Life and Work goals at the end of the day.

Do you create lists to get motivated? Do you create lists to stay focused? Do you create lists to accomplish things? Do you create lists so that things don't get forgotten? Do you create lists at all? Are you a paper and pencil list maker or is your list electronic? There are many options out there today to help you create lists on your phone/or in an app.

Let's talk about your list... Do you create a new list each day? Do you create a list for the week and tweek it as you go? Does your list have different sections to it?

There are so many ways to create a list. There are so many opinions on how to create the "best list". In my opinion, the 'best list' is one that works for you! One that you actually use :)

So, create a list. Prioritize it if you wish. Make one for the week. Make one for each day and then move things around as the week unfolds. I think it's smart to group things together that are similar. For example, if you need to get something from the office supply store, and something else from the Grocery store, it would make sense to only leave once and then do both of those things on the same trip, thus saving you time. It may be a good idea to have a list with multiple columns. In one column, place all of the musts for the day, in the other column, place things that you would 'like' to get done today and in a third column place all of the things that you need to do today that you need to leave to complete.

Whether your list is on paper or in an electronic device, it is sooo satisfying to check things off your list! Completing your list helps us feel accomplished and keeps us going and moving in the direction of our goals!

So, if you make lists! Great! Keep it up! If you have never made a list, give it a whirl. Don't worry about doing it the 'perfect way'... Start one today, tweek it tomorrow and you will find what works for you as you move along.

Take a deep breath and embrace your life and all that it brings! Be courageous! Be Bold! Reach for your dreams!

Annnnd yeeeeees, I've been asked... "you're a Realtor, why are you writing a blog titled 'Motivational Monday'?" To answer the question... Over the years, I've run into many different people, all with very different personalities. I've found that people that have an optimistic and positive outlook on life are happier people. I want to do my part to empower others to be positive. I  want to do my part to empower others to believe in the power of affirmations. I want to do my part to help people believe in themselves again. I want to do my part to make the world a happier place... even if it's just for one person, I will have made a difference.

Have a Blessed Week! Remember, Success is yours if you are willing to work for it!!!
