Motivational Monday! What Motivates You~ Part 2

Motivational Monday!

What Motivates You~ Part 2

What Motivates You

Last week I wrote about Motivation. I asked people to share with me what motivates them. Let's face it, we are all different! What motivates me (quotes), may not be what motivates you. Thank you to everyone who text, emailed and sent me a message on FB Messanger.

This is what people said~ Hopefully some of these things will be things that you can try to help you stay motivated too.

1) Working/Living in an organized space. This person stated that if they keep their life clutter free, it helps them stay focused on their goals. They stated that they are less distracted and are able to work more diligently. (as I look at my desk, I think this may help me too!)

 2) Sharing goals with someone. This one was sent in twice. The first person stated that they share their goals with their loved one and this helps them stay focused on their goals. The second person stated they share their goals with a friend or someone at work. They stated that they had tried to use their spouse (in the past) and it didn't work as they took offense when their spouse tried to hold them accountable.

3) Creating Lists - They stated that they had a list of things to do each day and a list for the week and one for the month. They stated that they would look at the monthly goals when formulating their weekly goals and that they would look at both when formulating their daily goals. They stated that they would ask themselves, what do I need to do today to help myself reach that goal by months end.

4) Keeping a positive mindset. This person shared that when they are trying to change a behavior or accomplish something (goals), they will set a timer on their phone to go off every hour or every two hours. They stated that when that timer sounded they would do a mental check with themselves to see where their mindset was. Were they still positive? Were they still accomplishing what they set out to? Did they need to refocus their mind to get the task done?

5) Debrief work goals at the end of the work day and debrief life goals at the end of the day. This person shared that every night prior to leaving work, they would take 5-10 minutes to think about their day and how it went. They would think about the things that went well and the things that could have gone differently. Then, they make a list of how they can handle those situations tomorrow. They also shared that each night prior to bed they would think about their day and how it went. What do they want to take with them into tomorrow, what do they want to leave in today and what can they do tomorrow to help them get one step closer to their goals. They then create this list too~ They write it down~ on paper~ They then place this on their bathroom counter so that they see this first thing in the morning.

Thank you again to all the people that shared with me! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know how you stay motivated! I hope that you can use something from this list to help you in reach your goals today, tomorrow and into your future :)

Take a deep breath and embrace your life and all that it brings! Be courageous! Be Bold! Reach for your dreams!

Annnnd yeeeeees, I've been asked... "you're a Realtor, why are you writing a blog titled 'Motivational Monday'?" To answer the question... Over the years, I've run into many different people, all with very different personalities. I've found that people that have an optimistic and positive outlook on life are happier people. I want to do my part to empower others to be positive. I  want to do my part to empower others to believe in the power of affirmations. I want to do my part to help people believe in themselves again. I want to do my part to make the world a happier place... even if it's just for one person, I will have made a difference.

Have a Blessed Week! Remember, Success is yours if you are willing to work for it!!!
