Motivational Monday!

React? Respond? React? Respond?

Do you React or Respond?

Motivational Monday React Respond

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. ~Charles R. Swindoll

Life happens. Every day there are things that happen in our lives that we have the choice to react to or respond to... When these situations occur do you react or do you respond? I've seen couples argue pretty disrespectfully about houses and I've seen couples discuss the differences respectfully.

How you were raised probably plays a role in the way in which you react or respond? Did your parents react or respond? Did they teach you the difference? Did you have a teacher in school that played a role in teaching you the difference? Either way, as an adult you now have the ability to be who you want. You have the ability to react or respond to your life as it happens around you.

It's not the situation, but whether we react negative or respond positive to the situation that is important. ~Zig Ziglar

If you are a reactor, it is going to take some effort to become a responder. Anything worth doing usually does take effort. It will be worth it in the end. Start to affirm it daily. Start to tell you self "I stop and think before I respond". You have the power within you to be who you want.

If you are a responder, help those around you to learn the skill of responding vs. reacting. If you have children in your life, this is a skill that is definitely worth the time to teach. If you have other adults in your life that would benefit from the skill, have a conversation with them. Ask if you can be a part of their change?

...We can react mindlessly or respond mindfully. It's up to us. ~Tara Stiles

So, this week, take a deep breath and embrace your life and all that it brings! Be courageous! Be Bold! Reach for your dreams!

Annnnd yeeeeees, I've been asked... "you're a Realtor, why are you writing a blog titled 'Motivational Monday'?" To answer the question... Over the years, I've run into many different people, all with very different personalities. I've found that people that have an optimistic and positive outlook on life are happier people. I want to do my part to empower others to be positive. I  want to do my part to empower others to believe in the power of affirmations. I want to do my part to help people believe in themselves again. I want to do my part to make the world a happier place... even if it's just for one person, I will have made a difference.

Have a Blessed Week! Remember, Success is yours if you are willing to work for it!!!
