to Real Estate in the 13 County Metro Area?
There are many different factors that one can look at when comparing real estate in one area to real estate in another. Today we are going to look at median price per sq foot in Minnetonka vs the rest of the Twin Cities.
The graph below shows the rise in the median $/sq ft in Minnetonka. It has been rising steadily over the past few years.
January 2016 - $138/sq ft
January 2017 - $144/sq ft
January 2018 - $155/sq ft
The graph below shows the rise in the median $/sq ft in the 13 County Metro Area. It too has been rising steadily over the past few years.
January 2016 - $117/sq ft
January 2017 - $124/sq ft
January 2018 - $133/sq ft
So, when you compare the the two, they have both been rising consistently over the years. So, although the $/sq ft is higher in Minnetonka than the rest of the 13 Coutny Metro Area, the $/sq ft is not rising faster.
