Let's BE Optimistic!

Motivational Monday! Rachel Fredrickson Optimism

Last week we talked about making it you best week ever! How did you do? Was it your best week ever? If so, CONGRATULATIONS! Let’s do it again! If not, what went wrong? Where did you stray from your plan? Take some time to think about it and then try again this week. One of the greatest thing about life is that we get second chances (and third and fourth etc... until we get it right)!

This week, let’s focus on Optimism! Optimism, as defined in dictionary.com, is 'a disposition or tendency to look on the more favorable side of events or conditions and to expect the most favorable outcome'. Maybe last week you didn’t completely believe that you could have the best week of your life… Self doubt could have gotten in your way.  This week, let’s believe that we can do it! Let’s believe that we are in control of our lives and create the week we want! Let’s start working toward the goals we set in January! Let’s start working towards accomplishing that 'thing' we’ve been avoiding. It may not come tomorrow, but when we stay positive, we can work toward it, and get a little closer every day!

So how do we stay OPTIMISTIC? Mindset is something that requires effort to change. So, let’s start by setting the timers on our phones to go off every two hours while we are awake. When the timer goes off, evaluate your mindset… Are you being positive? If so, great, keep it moving! If not, evaluate what needs to happen for you to get back to a positive mindset! Don’t let failure slow you down or stop you! Use it to propel you toward your goal! After all, you were brave enough to start! So, Congratulations! Now Onward!!! Let's keep moving in the direction of our goals!

Here’s to a GREAT Week!

“Optimism is the Faith that lead to Achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence” Helen Keller

I've been asked... "you're a Realtor, why are you writing a blog about being motivated?" So to answer the question... Over the years, I've run into many different people, all with very different personalities. I've found that people that are motivated and optimistic are happier people. I want to do my part to empower others to be positive. I  want to do my part to empower others to believe in the power of affirmations. I want to do my part to help people believe in themselves again. I want to do my part to make the world a happier place... even if it's just for one person, I will have made a difference.

Have a Blessed Week!
