So what projects can make a difference when you sell a house in real life???
1) FIX things that are broken~ FIX things that don't work... Big or small, FIX them :)
2) EXTERIOR face lift~ Power wash your siding or scrub it with a good broom to make it look fresh. If your garage door has bumps and bruises from years of use, consider replacing it. It is one of the first things people will see when they drive up. First impressions are important!
3) ENTRYWAY~ Clean your front door entrance to the home. You may come through the garage door, but all of the potential buyer will enter through your front door. Make the entry clean and inviting. It is going to set the tone for the visit in the home.
4) UPDATE BATHROOM, KITCHEN and APPLIANCES~ Bathrooms and Kitchens sell homes. You don't have to do a major renovation just to sell as you will most likely not get a dollar for dollar return. But, update your fixtures, lights, and appliances to make the room feel fresh!.
5) PAINT~ Paint... Paint... Paint... Give every room a fresh coat of paint. Paint is inexpensive and is the cheapest way to give your house a new fresh look! Take your time, a really inexpensive face lift if done quickly or poorly can hurt your sale... (don't slop on the ceiling or the baseboards...)
